From Body Builder to Published Author in Less Than 48 Hours!

Christopher Mitchell I have a friend named Christopher Mitchell.  He is a body builder and a very good one. The guy a sculptured piece of rock!  I first met Christopher at a Christian business luncheon a couple of years go.  I learned that he was a network marketer and a very successful one.  I remember thinking when I found out what he did, “How can this guy be a successful networker?”  The reason I thought that was because he didn’t smile.  He looked very sober every time I saw him.  Eventually he ended up attending Faith Life Church in New Albany, OH, the same place I attended to get spiritual food. I never really KNEW Christopher until he and his ...

The #1 Secret to My Success

Persevere and win If I had one secret to share that took me from an income in the low 20’s to a six-figures I would say it is PERSEVERANCE. Once I entered the sales arena I wanted to quit a thousand times.  My emotions were a roller coaster.  To top it all off, I didn’t know what I was doing.  However, I never gave up.  I remember one day in particular.  I was depressed!  I just wanted to go home!  But instead of doing that I went to downtown Cincinnati and starting cold-calling.  I went from business to business asking people if they were happy with their current security provider, and guess what?  100% present of them were!  But instead ...

Set Free at Last

He'll break these chains There I was, after serving the Lord for so many years, divorced, bankrupt, broke, and broken.  I lived with the illusion that God was in control and thought that He would take care of everything.  I “sort of” believed in miracles, but never saw one.  I was taught that they didn’t exist in this age.  “God where are you?”  I still loved Him, but where was He when I needed Him?  I just about gave up serving Him at all. Eventually I settled back into the my comfort zone.  I began serving again, remarried a wonderful woman, and thought that God was still in control.  Eventually I moved from Cincinnati to Columbus “in service to God.”  ...

A Call to Action

It's time to go! A call to action with a promise.  That was what Abram (later called Abraham) had to face and that is what all who want to enjoy God’s promises must realize.  God has been calling you to a better place.  Have your heard Him? God called out to Abram and told him to leave where he was and go to a place that “I will tell you.”  In other words, “Just load the UHaul and I will tell you the destination as you go.  Abram had to leave his place of comfort with his family and friends to launch out on a journey that changed his life and changed the life of millions of others who would ...

Take Possession of Your Good Land

It's Yours to Possess. In the Bible, God promised Israel a good land, a land that flows with milk and honey.  It was a land rich in produce, crops, minerals, and so much more.  God promised to bless this land and make Israel prosperous in it.  That’s great for them, but what has this to do with us today? We too have been promised a “good land.”  This land is not out there somewhere; it is hidden within us in the form of an idea.  This idea has within it everything we need to prosper us, bless others, and leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren.  Like I said, this idea is hidden within us waiting to be discovered ...

Little by Little…then Suddenly!

When the people looked at him they said, “Man is he lucky!” "Who is lucky?"  "Thomas Edison" was the response.  Isn’t that the typical response when people see someone succeed and become wealthy?  People look at the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Tiger Woods, Jim Carey and declare they are lucky.  Are they really lucky or is their something else? Their secret is “little by little.”  Take Thomas Edison for example.  He tried again and again to create a light bulb that would stay lit longer than a few seconds.  He tried more than 10,000 times.  Day after day, little by little, he kept at it.  He had a dream and was determined to achieve it no ...

Dream Big & Then Persist

Dream Big on Your Journey Things are not as they always appear.  Opportunity has a habit of showing up where it is least expected.  It also often appears in disguise. Too often we pray and seek answers then get frustrated because they don't "seem" to come.  I can pretty much assure you that the answer will come, but are you ready or positioned to see it?  The key to "seeing" is having an open mind.  I am truly amazed at the people who are presented with a life-changing opportunity and fail to see it because they are closed-minded.  They hear something and immediately have an opinion that usually has no basis in reality.  They base their opinions on past experiences or the opinions ...

Your Success Begins with Trust

The day came when I was faced this a terrible fact:  My life did not match what God had to say about me.  When I finally came to the place where I had to confess that I didn't measure up, I had to do something.  I had to take action. It was  early 2009.  The economy tanked.  I just started a new sales job.  Business was at an all time low.  I was facing a brick wall with nowhere to turn.  At that juncture, the search began.  I turned to God and His Word like never before.  I got up early each morning and read,  prayed, and journaled.  I began to hear God's voice:  "Michael, do you trust Me?"  May ...

Distinguish Yourself

The successful have learned a very important lesson:  To distinguish themselves.  In other words, they have learned how to set themselves apart from others. In today’s competitive market it is vital that you find ways to set yourself apart.  I am not talking about how well you dress, how beautiful your makeup, if you have six pack abs, or anything outward.  I am talking about distinguishing yourself by who you are within.  It has been said that we are all the same value from the neck down.  What matters is the way we think.  It’s our thinking that truly distinguishes us from the crowd and determines our value in the marketplace. Years ago when I was seeking work in management, I was approached by a head-hunter in ...
