The crown of thorns, part of the curse that Jesus bore, has now become a blessing for us. The crown of thorns made it possible to live a life void of painful toil and labor.
The scourge was made of leather straps with pieces of metal and bone on the end. As they scourged Jesus, they ripped pieces of flesh off of Him, down to the bone!
We must develop a craving for the face, person, and presence of God. Too many Christian’s have just a casual relationship with God.
However, we are often presented with situations that test our faith to the uttermost. It’s what we do during these times that determines what our reward will be.
We often see people doing the opposite of the way of an ant. People do just enough to not get fired! Others have an entitlement mentality and feel that their employer owes them more that what they agreed to receive in wages.
Unforgiveness is a poisonous seed that, when planted in our heart, grows fast and sends roots deep into our souls.
How do all these blessings come to us? Through the Spirit by faith! The Spirit dispenses the blessings to us when we exercise our faith in God’s Word, just as Abraham did.
Just as in Eden, a person who starts out in an amazing relationship with God ends up losing God’s presence and suffers the pain of living alone without God in the world.
