It’s a Thinking Problem

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was pleasant to look at.
The result of the “fall” of mankind by partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a thinking problem. The mind of mankind became corrupted with non-God thoughts. The mind became independent from God’s thoughts and lost its understanding of who man was and who God was in relation to them. They lost their pure way of thinking. Good and evil convoluted their thoughts that resulted in a new awareness, a false awareness. Shame and fear took over that caused them to hide from God. Man has been “hiding” from God ever since.

God became a man in Jesus to restore purity in thinking. He demonstrated what it is like to be a human being in his proper mind and at perfect peace. A mind dependent on God is peaceful and pure, without having to decide between good and evil. Jesus did not do things based on the knowledge of good and evil. He did everything by the Spirit within Him.

When Jesus died on the TREE, He released all of us from the curse of the TREE of the knowledge of good and evil. In resurrection He became a live-giving Spirit to enter us and restore our thoughts to their original purity and devotion to God. We have the mind of Christ and therefore can be as He is in this world. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind! As we are renewed in mind, we are transformed in body, the expression of who we are in the new creation. Our new inner man expresses who God is in human form. The Word becomes flesh through us! Isn’t this exciting?
