After Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit from the tree God instructed them not to eat from. That afternoon God came looking for them.\u00a0 When God called out to them, they responded by saying that they hid themselves because they were naked.\u00a0 God\u2019s response back to them was, \u201cWho told you that you were naked?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God\u2019s question to Adam and Eve caused me to meditate on the whole idea of \u201cWho told you?\u201d\u00a0 I came to realize that we all live lives based upon what we are told. Have you ever considered that?\u00a0Our lives are shaped by what we are TOLD!\u00a0 Our responses to situations are based upon what we are told.\u00a0 It\u2019s time we learn how to think and become the masters of our destiny instead of slaves to what we are told by others.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am learning to weigh everything that I am told on the scale of God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 What does God have to say about the matter?\u00a0 What is right?\u00a0 What is true?\u00a0When we are told something, we have to learn to refer back to what God says.\u00a0 Why relay on what God says?\u00a0 Because God is true.\u00a0 It is impossible for Him to lie.\u00a0 Jesus (the Word) even said, \u201cI am the way, the truth<\/em>, and the life.\u201d\u00a0 Since it is impossible for God to lie and His Word is true, we can trust everything He says in His Word with 100% confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Who told you that you are terminal and have a short time to live?\u00a0 What does God\u2019s Word say about that?\u00a0 Who said you are poor?\u00a0 What does God\u2019s Word say about that?\u00a0 Who is speaking into your life?\u00a0 What are they saying?\u00a0 Let God be true and EVERY man a liar!\u00a0 Adam was deceived and brought a curse upon all of mankind based upon the twisted lies of the serpent who persuaded them to eat the forbidden fruit.\u00a0 Adam and Eve accepted another word instead of relying on God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t refer back to exactly what God said.\u00a0 If they would have, things today would be much different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How different would your life be today it you paid attention to what you are being told and who is saying it?\u00a0 The doctor says you have cancer.\u00a0 The Word says that you are healed by the wounds of Jesus.\u00a0 Your bank account says that you are broke.\u00a0 The Word says that you are rich and able to give on every occasion.\u00a0 Who says you are stupid or worthless?\u00a0 The Word says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.\u00a0 The news media says that you should fear.\u00a0 God\u2019s Word says do not fear.\u00a0 When you pay attention to what God has to say about YOU and your life, everything will change for the better.\u00a0 Your life will begin in align with what the Word says, and you will overcome whatever lie you have been listening to.\u00a0 Remember, let God be true and EVERY man a liar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Who told you? Learn to always ask yourself that question.\u00a0 It could save your life and the lives of those around you.
