What Are the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven?

Have you even wondered what the keys of the kingdom of heaven are that Jesus gave to Peter and to us in Matthew 16?  Matthew 16:19 reads, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven.”  This verse tells us what the keys are, they are the agreement(s) of earth with heaven.  The keys have to do with agreement(s).

Later on, in Matthew 18:19, Jesus told the disciples, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven.”  Then Jesus goes on to say in verse 20, “Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”  From Matthew 16 and 18 we can conclude that the keys have everything to do with our agreement with heaven and one another.  Agreements are the keys!

To further back up this truth, back in Matthew 6:9-11, Jesus said, “Therefore, you should pray like this:  Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth as in heaven….”  Here we see the connection between heaven, earth, God’s will and prayer.  When we pray, on earth, in agreement with heaven, things happen.  Answers come and things get done because what we are doing is agreeing with God’s will on earth.

God’s will is that heaven’s realities are manifest on earth.  When we pray in AGREEMENT with God’s will, we either loose what needs to be loose or bind what needs to be bound.  Sickness is something that is NOT in heaven, therefore we need to stand in AGREEMENT on earth to bind sickness and release healing!  There is no lack in heaven.  We need to bind lack and release abundance so that earth is in agreement with heaven.  This is the will of God. This is how to use the keys of the kingdom of heaven.  Note that the keys belong to heaven.  We use them on earth to bind and loose according to heaven.

How can you know God’s will for sure?  Read the Bible!  What does God have to say about the situation you are facing.  Once you know, use the keys of agreement to bind what needs to be bound and loose what needs to be loose.  Once we act in agreement with at least one other person regarding any matter, God Himself will intervene and do what we ask.

God does not want us to go it alone.  Therefore, He made our agreement the keys to do the impossible. He made our agreement the keys to unite heaven and earth.  Whatever your situation, find someone who will stand with you in agreement with God’s will (His Word), and watch the impossible become YOUR reality!

You may be a bit confused about my use of agreement (singular) and keys (plural).  The keys, I believe, are plural because there are many things that need agreement.  I may need a key of agreement for healing and another key of agreement for a financial need.  I may need a key to agree for the salvation of a family member or the release of a legal decision in my favor.  Therefore, the use of many keys or many agreements are for differing matters.  I hope this makes sense.  If not, please feel free to email me.
